Empilés l’un sur l’autre selon le thème des colonnes cher à l’artiste, les petits permettent au plus audacieux de se hisser à la hauteur de son père, museau contre museau.
Une riche patine fauve s’imposait pour cette sculpture en bronze (25 x 43 x 16 cm), née d’une commande et aujourd’hui éditée en série limitée. Une scène pleine de tendresse sur la paternité.
EN : With Lion et lionceaux (Lion and Cubs), created in 2023, Sophie Verger depicts a powerful lion with an abundant mane, sitting and softened by his two cubs. Stacked one on top of the other, following the column theme dear to the artist, the little ones allow the boldest to rise to his father’s height, snout to snout.
A rich tawny patina was the natural choice for this bronze sculpture (25 x 43 x 16 cm), born from a commission and now produced in a limited edition. A tender scene about fatherhood.
