Toute en mouvement, cette sculpture en bronze (56 x 70 x 32 cm) doit sa forte présence à sa patine grise aux fonds plus clairs. Elle s’impose dans un salon, sur un buffet ou dans un hall.
EN : With Le Grand Mahout (The Great Mahout), created in 2022, Sophie Verger imagines an elephant rider without a goad: perched on the back of a large elephant, he guides his mount through trust alone, his enthusiastic trunk pointing the way, while a small calf walks at their feet.
Full of movement, this bronze sculpture (56 x 70 x 32 cm) owes its strong presence to its grey patina with lighter undertones. It makes a statement in a living room, on a sideboard or in an entrance hall.
