EN : In Gust of Wind, a man takes a terrible blast full in the stomach and bends under its force. Isabel Miramontes reveals the vulnerability of human beings facing a nature from which they have drifted so far.
The gust can symbolise all the “hard knocks” that life brings through its twists and turns. A powerful metaphor, expressed through a remarkably pared-back bronze line.
Limited edition of 8 plus 4 artist’s proofs.
Provenance
In Galicia, a wild region in the northwest of Spain where Isabel Miramontes comes from, as on the Belgian coast, the country where the artist lives, the wind sometimes blows violently.Exposities
