EN : With Reste avec moi (Stay with Me), created in 2022, Sophie Verger returns to a theme dear to her: the little girl pulling the lion’s tail, probably to ward off the fear she felt as a child hearing the lions roar at the Vincennes zoo. Leaning back with all her weight, the girl holds back the big cat, now a knowing companion, won over by her innocence.

No, he won’t make a meal of her! This humorous bronze sculpture (17 x 42 x 11 cm) sits on a console, a bookcase or a coffee table and never fails to raise a smile.
