EN : A draped figure, its red and brown veils swept by the wind, rises from a star-like carved base. With Memory on the Sand, from the Trace series, Jean-Pierre Baldini prints the drawing hidden beneath the work onto a signed lithograph, where the imprint appears at the heart of a red spiral, like a trace left in the sand.
Bronze and signed lithograph, 41 x 30 x 23 cm (16 1/8 x 11 3/4 x 9 1/8 in). Edition 7/8, limited edition of 8 + 4 artist's proofs. A poetic work on what time erases and what remains.

Le reflet cachéde la bête
reste énigmatique
Conscience mêlée
dans ce jeu tragique
le temps s'arrête
où le silence vit
la mort est proche
le sable en sera la mémoire.
