FR : Avec Almost Flying, créée en 2022, Lieven d’Haese saisit l’instant où l’on croit pouvoir s’envoler. En équilibre sur un pied, les bras déployés comme des ailes, un enfant s’élance, sa robe tourbillonnant autour de lui, tout entier porté par l’élan et le rêve.
Présentée sur un socle en pierre grise et fer (48 x 50 x 35 cm seule, 149 cm de haut avec le socle), cette sculpture en bronze texturé pleine de mouvement s’impose dans un intérieur spacieux comme dans un jardin.
EN : With Almost Flying, created in 2022, Lieven d’Haese captures the moment when we believe we could take off. Balancing on one foot, arms spread like wings, a child leaps forward, his dress swirling around him, wholly carried by momentum and dreams.
Presented on a grey stone and iron socle (48 x 50 x 35 cm alone, 149 cm high with the socle), this textured bronze sculpture full of movement makes a statement in a spacious interior as well as in a garden.
