Promenade by Sophie Verger is a poetic contemporary animal sculpture depicting a family of elephants walking together in a quiet, intimate procession. Through the gentle interaction between the figures, a protective adult guiding the group while a younger elephant playfully holds the tail, the artwork expresses themes of transmission, tenderness, and collective movement.
Verger’s distinctive sculptural language combines expressive modelling with a refined sense of proportion and surface texture, giving the animals both emotional presence and sculptural strength. The composition creates a subtle narrative rhythm that unfolds across space, inviting the viewer to follow the progression of the group.
