Art Thema Gallery was delighted to take part in a private presentation organised by Duhem Studio & Art Thema Gallery, held at Château La Gayette in Sambreville, Belgium. Recently and beautifully renovated by the Duhem family, the château offered an exceptional setting, restored with taste, care and a deep respect for both heritage and contemporary aesthetics.
This intimate event marked the introduction of Mathis Duhem, a young contemporary visual artist and designer. His abstract paintings explore layered textures, intuition and material sensitivity, and were presented here in a refined dialogue with the architecture and atmosphere of the château.
Alongside Mathis Duhem’s paintings, two sculptors represented by Art Thema were invited to present their work within this inspiring environment:
-
René Julien, a major Belgian sculptor, renowned for his deeply human, classical and romantic figurative sculptures.
-
Lieven D’Haese, a Belgian artist born in Africa, whose sculptural work carries strong emotional and cultural resonance rooted in his origins.
Conceived as a high-quality private event, this presentation offered guests a privileged moment to experience three distinct artistic worlds in conversation, within a warm, elegant and inspiring setting.
For those who were unable to attend, we are pleased to share a selection of images from the event, capturing the spirit of the exhibition and the harmony between artworks and place.
All works presented during this private presentation are available for sale.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information, pricing, or acquisition details.
