FR : Avec Plongeuse, créée en 2021, Béatrice Cols saisit l’instant qui précède le grand saut. Bonnet sur la tête, les mains jointes devant le visage, une fillette se tient au bord de l’eau, concentrée, en retenant son souffle avant de plonger.
Sa silhouette fine et élancée prend toute sa poésie au bord d’une piscine, d’un bassin ou d’un étang, où elle se reflète dans l’eau. Une sculpture en bronze pleine de fraîcheur, qui évoque les étés et les vacances.
EN : With Plongeuse (The Diver), created in 2021, Béatrice Cols captures the moment just before the big jump. Wearing a swimming cap, her hands joined in front of her face, a little girl stands at the water’s edge, focused, holding her breath before diving in.
Her slender silhouette is at its most poetic beside a swimming pool, a pond or a lake, where it is reflected in the water. A fresh bronze sculpture that evokes summers and holidays.
