EN : A simple chair, an upright cello and two small birds become the protagonists of a suspended, almost theatrical moment. In L'avant-scène (The Forestage), René Julien (1937-2016) suggests the anticipation of music and the presence of the performer who has just stepped away. The patina, with warm tonal variations and deliberate drips desired by the artist, highlights the depth and craftsmanship of the bronze.

Bronze. Limited edition of 8 + 4 artist's proofs; from the very last edition, as the moulds no longer exist. An easy-to-display size and a rare acquisition for bronze collectors.
