EN : With On a Summer Day in the Bathroom, created in 2019, Lieven d’Haese turns a bathtub into a rowing boat. Two children sitting face to face paddle with large oars, setting off on an imaginary crossing from their bathroom on a summer’s day.
Between childhood memory and dreamed-of journey, this bronze sculpture on an iron pedestal (24 x 30 x 30 cm) celebrates companionship and imagination. Its proportions make it easy to place on a console, a coffee table or a shelf.
