EN : Curled up on herself, her head resting on the ground beside a small green apple, a woman seems lost in contemplation, halfway between sleep and rebirth. With The Daughter of Eve, René Julien (1937-2016) revisits the myth of the forbidden fruit in a round, enveloping form, enhanced by a mottled brown patina with tortoiseshell highlights.

Brown patina bronze, 83 x 43 x 29 cm (32 5/8 x 16 7/8 x 11 3/8 in). Last edition, as the moulds no longer exist. A sensual, symbolic work with great presence.
