EN : With Hippo, created in 2019, Lieven d’Haese combines the power of a hippopotamus with the lightness of a slender figure sitting on its back. The animal’s wide-open mouth contrasts with the dreamy attitude of its rider, head raised towards the sky.
With its rich, golden-toned patina and measuring 35 x 48 x 24 cm, this humorous and poetic bronze sculpture invites us on a journey into the artist’s imagination. A striking piece for a living room, a library or a study.
