EN : A mischievous nod to Perrault's fairy tale Donkey Skin, Skin of Anne shows a young woman draped in a donkey skin, the animal's head resting on hers like a hood, striding forward with determination. René Julien (1937-2016) blends humour, poetry and fantasy, with expressive modelling and a nuanced grey patina that give this unique figure its full presence.
Grey patina bronze, 43 x 19 x 36 cm (16 7/8 x 7 1/2 x 14 1/8 in), 2011. Edition 1/8; last edition, as the moulds no longer exist. An original, witty work.
