EN : As its name suggests, Siesta explores sleep and the afternoon nap. The sleeper can be glimpsed beneath a sheet, sketched by the undulations of the thin bronze bands that form it.
Isabel Miramontes lightens, softens and strips back the material until she reaches a subtle yet powerful balance. A graphic, soothing work that plays with light and transparency.
Bronze, 75 cm high, limited edition of 8 plus 4 artist’s proofs.
Provenance
Siesta was conceived as a wall sculpture, but it can be presented as a painting, fixed vertically to a wall or on its elegant plexiglass support so that it can be placed on a piece of furniture.Exhibitions
