EN : Stretched out at full length, mane tousled, this lion gives in to rest, powerful even in repose. Belgian sculptor Bast models the clay directly with her fingertips: the bronze keeps the marks of her fingerprints and the pressure of her hand, which come alive in the patina. An expressive work capturing the quiet strength of the king of beasts.
