EN : IIXV Monumental, created in 2022, is the largest version of Lieven d’Haese’s signature work, built around wholeness, human potential and trust. Its title can be read in the figure’s very posture: the legs rooted to the ground (II), the body wide open (X) and the outstretched hands (V). Arms spread and face turned to the sky, it expresses surrender, hope and inner strength.
Presented on a weatherproof corten steel and grey stone socle (85 x 73 x 63 cm alone, 170 cm high with the socle), it makes a statement in a garden, on a terrace or in a large interior. The work will be presented by Art Thema Gallery at Art Montpellier 2026.
