FR : Suspendue sous une pergola face à la mer, une femme allongée semble dormir dans les airs, dessinée d'un fil d'acier qui se confond avec le ciel et les dunes. Avec La Belle Endormie, Charles Serruya, poète de la lumière et des ombres chinoises, déroule ses fils d'acier comme une araignée sa toile et invite à la rêverie. L'œuvre a été présentée lors de l'exposition « Steel Drawing » organisée par Art Thema en août 2022 sur une plage du golfe de Saint-Tropez.
Acier 8 mm, 178 x 110 cm (70 1/8 x 43 1/4 in), 2021. Pièce unique. Une sculpture aérienne à suspendre, en extérieur ou dans un grand volume.
EN : Hanging under a pergola facing the sea, a reclining woman seems to sleep in mid-air, drawn in a steel wire that blends with the sky and the dunes. With La Belle Endormie (Sleeping Beauty), Charles Serruya, a poet of light and shadow play, unrolls his steel wires like a spider its web and invites reverie. The work was shown at the "Steel Drawing" exhibition organised by Art Thema in August 2022 on a beach in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
