EN : With Icarus, created in 2022, Lieven d’Haese revisits the myth of Icarus with his own unique poetry. Wearing an aviator’s helmet, a figure spreads immense feathered wings, knees bent, ready to soar into the sky like in a childhood dream.
With its 92 cm wingspan (36 x 92 x 32 cm), this bronze sculpture impresses with its momentum and the delicacy of its textured wings. It makes a statement on a plinth, in a spacious interior or in a garden.
