Chromatic Drift is built through successive layers of colour and texture, revealing traces of movement and instinct at the core of Mathis Duhem’s practice. Working directly with his hands and custom-made tools, the artist sculpts the surface of the painting, allowing depth, relief and chromatic vibration to emerge. This work reflects his ongoing exploration of abstraction as a sensory experience, inviting the viewer to feel the composition rather than decode it.
