Isabel Miramontes gives each of her sculptures a soul of his own. Each figure carries within it a message delivered by a movement, a posture, an expression.
As the name suggests, the artist works on sleep, nap and her sleeper sketches under a sheet, according to the undulations exerted by the thin bands that constitute it.
To achieve this near perfection, Isabel Miramontes shapes the material, lightens it, softens it, bares it, works the curves until reaching this subtle and powerful balance.

Provenance
Siesta was conceived as a wall sculpture, but it can be presented as a painting, fixed vertically to a wall or on its elegant plexiglass support so that it can be placed on a piece of furniture.Exhibitions
